I'm looking for a lightweight chair mainly for roaming around when barbel fishing. This looks quite nice.Anyone got one or have a view ?

Got to be light and portable and not too low & this one looks like the sort of thing I'm after.I'm fed up lugging my current chair about which is a lovely chair when sat on it but a pain when I'm not.

I've got one for roving and I am very pleased with it.  It's extremely light and compact - you hardly know your carrying it.

Two things to be aware of:-

1. It is low, although the handles make it really easy to get out of.

2. It's only got adjustable feet at the front and a continuous tube which forms the rear legs.  This is normally no problem, but if you want to sit side on to a slope it is a bit unstable.

Thanks.Take your point about the tubed rear which did bother me a bit but I'll put up with that if its light & portable.I'm quite long legged and dont get on with anything too low because I end up with my knees round my ears but this doesnt look as low as some.

Do you find the handles get in the way at all ? They look quite well thought out but also potential line snaggers.

It's not one of those really low chairs where you're forced to sit with your legs straight out.  I've had no problems getting comfortable on it and I'm 6'3".

The handles are perfect in my opinion.  Just long enough to comfortably rest your elbows but not so long that they get in your way.

Brilliant.I'm 6-2 so if you can get comfortable on it so can I.

Your thoughts are extremely helpful and very much appreciated.Thanks.

Hope you are pleased with it Brian.

£30 - sounds like a bargain!  (I thought I got mine cheap off Ebay but I am sure I payed more than that).

Yes...once I'd tried & liked it at that price I couldn't not have it !

Tried the Fox "Stalker" chair too but it was so low I couldn't get out of it.The arms on the JRC solve that and you're right...they dont get in the way.

I think it will be perfect for short roving sessions which is all I ever seem to get time for nowadays.
