hi all

i read somewhere,"carp life" by m willmot,i think, that finn stim was made up of 97% betaine and 3% of something else, but would not say what that something else was(class A bait makers secret!!?).anyway i've tried looking about on the web but found nothing to help me answer the question.

so can anyone divulge this info?

You have been reading too many magazines matey get out on the bank improve your watercraft and techniques and you wont need to know about the 3% wonder ingredient.

thanks for caring stevie, but i'm quite happy with the amount that i go fishing, and what i learn everytime i go

i was looking into maybe making up my own boillie recipe, and was posing the question to see if whatever makes up the 3% would help my recipe when combined with the ingredients i'm already thinking of

so any one got any ideas?

when I started to make my own boilies I experiment with different ingredience and flavouring, I think all those different boilies on the market a more to catch the angler than the fish.

IMHO different venue, different bait/flavours.

I think it's far more rewarding (and cheaper) to try your own ingredience and flavouring AND catch on them.

Sorry I can't help you with the other 3%
