Thanks,

It was one of those accidental captures while I was Barbel fishing below Worcester on one of my clubs (Kinver Freeliners) waters.

15mm halibut pellet + PVA bag.

We've had some crackers, with plenty in the 8-10lb bracket.

I dont mind them too much at that size, but the smaller ones can be a pain in the butt when your barbel fishing.

I have never been barbel fishing but would like to go in the future.Apparently they are really good fighters and good fun to catch.

I mostly go carp fishing and course and a bit of sea fishing when i go on holiday. my record fish is a 17lb mirror carp and i caught that on a 21mm halibut pellet .

What is your biggest fish you have caught?

Barbel or Carp Nathan?

Barbel, 12,7 (lower Severn & Hampshire Avon)

Carp, 25,10 (lower Severn)

You can catch Barbel from many rivers nowdays.

Where abouts do you live? I'm sure there will be Barbel within a reasonable drive from your home.

I live in chelmsford but i dont have the right equipment for barbel fishing. Which bait do you find works best for barbel and carp.
