instead of pulling the ring on oblong meat tins open bottom with a can opener this gives you a four bladed cutter slice 4mm or whatever  put slices in square bait tub and chop down adding fishmeal to seperate and decrease the longer the finer  the meat ..................takes 2 minutes on the bank perfect for ground bait or cupping

total agreement on tins on bank i prepare mine at home but carry spare in case of emergency ie spillage . i am forever taking less responsable  anglers litter home.........good point
