Hi All

Not posted a thread for a while but had a cracking days fishing today caught 31 fish a personal best still a novice really after getting bitten by the bug 18 months ago.

had been doing a bit of carp fishing in feb and march with not much luck(too cold i think-my excuse) So i thought lets get back to basics(no offence intended) and catch some fish.Had a decent day last week at Charity Farm in Wrightington(near wigan) caught some lovely tench!

But today surpassed everything went to Partridge fisheries near Warrington and had a belter caught 3 tench,6 cruscians,21 common carp and 1 4lb mirror. What a day absolutely chuffed to bits!

Hope this doesn't sound to big headed but today i thought this is what fishing is all about even the rain couldn't dampen my spirits!

Definetely recommend Partridge its got about 7 ponds and well stocked.

Fished on sweetcorn at first then switched to prawn which was a killer!

One for the memories!!!

Well done mate.

It's funny how special days stand out from the rest, and you'll remember it forever.

A little brownie on a dry fly from a chalk stream, a carp from a commercial, or a barbel that nearly pulls your rod in..........it's what fishing is all about and why we enjoy it so much.

Happy days............

Spot on Steve!

I suppose its an average days work for your match fisherman but i'm sure everyone remembers the first day they "bagged up"

Often wondered what the attraction was of match fishing but after today i can see the buzz you guys must get!

Best thing for me was didn't catch any tiddlers they where all about 1lb plus.

You never know i might invest in a keep net!
