Been on this site loads of times and have found it really helpfull. Now I require some help on where to go fishing in the vendee region of France. The wife has been good enough to pay for a holiday in St Jean de Malo. if that isn't enough she is letting me go fishing while we are there !! I have managed to find a lake called lac d'apremont. but it looks a little too daunting (16 hectares) for a short session. any help would be appreciated..cheers

Not sure what your collective french is like but here is the relevant site for the department from the Federation Nationale pour la peche en France.

Vendee venues

Don't forget you'll need a licence - if its a holiday then a Cartes de Vacances is what you'll need.
