I caught a couple of nice roach then the swim went dead, so I cast to another area of the swim and landed in the reeds, and got a birds nest of line.
Half an hour later I'd sorted it out and the rain started, as I put up my brolly I kicked over a tin of sweet corn so half it went in to the water.
Back fishing and catching a few fish but getting loads of bites from small fish nipping the end of the maggot, so I tried sweet corn (what I had left) and got skimers until somehow wrapped the float rod line around the ledger rod AGAIN.
Finally the ledger rod went off and a chub of about 2lb was the reason.
Back to the float fishing and I get hooked up on the bottom and have to break the look length to retrieve it.
AS dinner was to be served at 4pm I packed up at 3:30 and got home just by 3:45 - only to find I'd misheard and dinner was at 5:00
Anyone got any golf sticks for sale?
oh yes - my expander pellets floated as well
