if ur very new back to fishing, i wouldnt worry to much about targeting carp specifically just yet .... get to a commercial and get used to float or feeder fishing and catching/handling plenty of fish, you'll catch loads of smaller carp there as well as other species
then if u still wanna target just carp, you can pick up all the necessary tackle and advice along the way, whilst still enjoying some great sport
