Hook size

Fishing for stocked rainbow trout tomorrow with worms. I have 6lb line on (probably too heavy).. What size of hook should I opt for?

Depends on worm size - redworms 14s - Brandling 12s - snake Lobs 10s - as a rough guide. More recently I've used a hair-rig and bait-stop to thread the worm on - this seems to give more lip-hooks and less deep-hooking as can happen with the greedy b*ggers!
