Default Circle Hooks

Is there a circle hook in sizes 14-18 barbless & already tied to nylon . Have googled but struggling to find a definite answer .

Just keeping options open . Although looking forward to doing some trotting for Roach . Used to enjoy Eel fishing in the summer , usually float fishing . Sometimes would night fish , so was thinking in terms of maybe using them then . Have used a couple of times when fishing for flatties to combat deep hooking .

I've considered circle hooks for eel fishing, having already used them for pike and zander over the last couple of seasons.

For eels I would personally look to tie them to something other than nylon though, to prevent bite offs.

Some of my Mustad Demon go down to quite a small size although I can't say what off the top of my head but I think the chances of finding a circle hook ready tied to a material and strength for the multitude of jobs in hand are akin to winning the lottery.

Good luck with your search though and keep us posted if you find any, I for one would be interested.

I don't know what Guru are marketing those as but that point looks at least sixty degrees short of a circle hook imo...

Not to say it's not a worthy suggestion in its own right

Thanks everyone for the quality of knowledge in the replies . As I am starting from scratch with buying hooks , I thought I would for ease get them already tied to nylon . I have found a hook tyer amongst my tackle so shall have a practise with that . I haven't used a hook smaller than a size 6 in over 20 years due to going sea fishing . So thought I would struggle with threading the line through the eye of a hook . Will have a look at those hooks that have been recommended & order some .

Yea I can see what yer saying Steve, don't know why Guru and Preston both market what they call circle hooks when they look nothing like a true circle hook and to be honest are pretty much inferior

If anything they look hardly any different from just short shank wide gape hooks that have a swept point, not that much different from a kamasan b560 wide gape swept point

I've specialised in Thames estuary bass fishing along some of me local low water marks because there simply within walking distance and have been using circle hooks on and off for the best part of 20 years now and these are proper true circle hooks,

Not like what Guru and Preston have brought out because the overall percentage of the bend has somewhat been drastically lost

This is why in me first post I stated that I'm not holding me breath because I've not yet found anything for coarse fishing that resembles what I'd call a true circle hook
