I've voted, and emailed them too. Hopefully they'll publish it as it speels out what PETA means ie no more fluufy pet bunnies, and points out the good that the ACA does.
Lets see if the antis at the beeb react to that.
We were also losing 56/45, Doh }o(

Can I suggest that as well as just voting you spend a couple of minutes onsending an email via the feedback button expressing your total disgust that the supporters of terrorists PETA are being given any airtime on the BBC
Cheers

Just voted.
It's now 69.3% to 30.7% to us, but keep the votes going in.
Stuff like this can only be good for us if we have a convincing majority.

I forwarded this message to the BBC feedback page at

www.bbc.co.uk/feedback

I was absolutely amazed to find that the BBC were actually promoting the views of an extremist organisation like PETA-with MY licience money!
PERHAPS YOU SHOULD LOOK AT SOME OF THE THINGS THEY ARE PUSHING AT THE UK AT THE MOMENT-AND HOW THEY SPREAD THEIR MESSAGE HANGING ROUND SCHOOL GATES......ETC
I suggest you research this well funded 'terrorist' organisation before giving them any more publicity

Hi All
If you visit any other angling forums you may have seen this already if you have then please accept my apologies.

As soon as i had voted i sent a mail to the BBC pointing out a few of peta's true ambitions including the condonement of violence to further their cause.

This is the reply i recieved from the BBC :

Dear Mr Fawcett

Thank you for your email; I read your comments with interest. PETA was not
referred to as a charity on the television programme nor on the Newsround
website; we described it as an 'animal rights organisation', which it is.
The item reported on PETA's plans to launch an advertising campaing in the
UK to persuade the public to stop fishing, it was not an item about PETA's
policies or methods of operation. I did not consider the side issues you
maintain PETA advocates to be relevant to this item. Our item was carefully
balanced to present the arguments on both sides and the fact that we
received hundreds of emails from children offering a wide variety of
opinions on the matter proves it was a subject which our audience found
interesting and relevant.

Thank you very much for your interest in the programme.

Yours sincerely

I don't know if any of you read the piece on the web site about the report but THEY DID describe peta as a charity & i believe they changed it due to the e-mails pointing out their mistake.
