I used to Fly Fish quite a lot! But for all sorts of reasons I gave it up back in the 1980's.
I've recently returned to this branch of our sport and have been thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Hopeful these entries will convey at least some of that enjoyment!

Peter Jacobs was the catalyst for my re-entry into the world of The Fly Fisher.
Having gleefully accepted his invitation to join his End of Season get together I then realised that the second day would be at Avon Springs Trout Fishery, Wiltshire.
I didn't take too long to decide to invest in some appropriate gear and suitably kitted out, I couldn't wait to get started.

Graham (The Editor) and Ed also joined us on a bitterly cold, wet, windy and snowy day. My casting technique didn't stand too much close scrutiny but I somehow managed to catch three rainbows.

Suitably inspired and still tingling from the cold and that indefinable sensation created when a trout seizes the fly, I had very quickly decided I wanted more!
