Default We,ve had the hype---

Its the world carp classic final on lake Bolsena in italy this summer.
We,ve had some opinions on here of late as to who is the best "carpin nation", so ,why dont we make our (two) predictions who is the best and lets see where they come this year
I go to Italy each year and have watched the locals at work-- they are tidy carpers to say the least and they are on home turf so I,ll go for either Italy or england.
C,mon England!!!

I guess a lot depends on whether or not the Saffas are allowed to turn the lake a 'gay' green colour . . . . . . . .

If not, then I'd go for Italy and England as well.

The Italian carp anglers I chatted to last year in Milan were keen as mustard. When I told them I had done a lot of carping in england they were all questions questions questions, they had all the gear and all the idea.
Interestingly the local park where they fished was very very busy with people milling around with their kids, the lakeside had been taped off with the kind of stuff the emergency services use for three whole days while they had their match /tournament. They were left entirely to themselves with no bother from the public or more importantly any yobbo,s, It would be nice if we could say that about any inner city lake in this country.
Regarding the green Peter, I saw countryfile last weekend and they did a bit on the dissapearing river Lathkill in Derbyshire and they used the green dye powder to see where it turned up afetr it was treated with the stuff, interesting.
I do however draw the line at St Patricks day.
