Default Which would you choose????

Looking to buy a couple of new feeder rods. Haven't got an awful lot of money so working to a limited budget, say £50.00 per rod.
The two I am looking at are the Shakespeare Mach2 XT 12' "commerical" feeder....
Shakespeare - Rods - MACH 2 XT Feeder & MACH 2 XT Commercial Feeder

or the Korum CS 11' feeder
CS Series Rods - Korum, Fishing Made Easy

Both are two piece (which I want for ease of transportation) and both get fairly good reviews for the price point.
Which would you go for out of the two, and would they be able to cope with decent sized (mid 20's) Carp????
Just to add that I am not looking to cast to the horizon on big commericals, will only be using them for light(ish) leger/method work.
Just wanted to know whether they would be man enough for the job as there are carp up to 30lb in the waters that I fish. Doesn't mean that I am going to catch them, but you never know, I might hook into one!!
Thanks
Rob

Got to be honest.....the Korum does look, and feel, the mutts.
Just more concerned as to whether it will be capable of tackling the bigger carp.

I think you should ask yourself, how competent am I to land a 30lber on a rod which suggests using 3 to 8lb line?

If you are confident that you can handle such a fish on that kind of rod, go for the one that feels right to you.

I suspect that a barbel rod (twin tip with a quiver) might be a better bet for the decent sized carp. However, if you are really fishing for the smaller species hoping the big fish come along, get the lighter rods. If you do happen to hook into something 20lb+ then you are likely to have to accept that you may not land it.

Rods intended for all species from a few ounces to thirty pounds plus simply don't exist. However, that doesn't mean that small fish can't be extracted on a heavy rod or a huge fish caught on a really light one. Any rod you pick is going to have an element of compromise. The trick is to decide what, realistically, are going to make up the bulk of their duties.

This is right. The rod is not wholy important. When hooked to a massive fish you can get away with pointing your rod towards it. The limitation really comes down to the line and the reel.(Line capacity and drag.) If you hook somthing big and you can't stop it swimming into a snag or a mile across the lake (spooling you) then you are done for anyway. Certainly try to get a rod suited to the line class you'll be fishing.
