I’m off for a weekend break at warmwell next mouth it would be rude to leave the rods home so I’ll take a couple and see if I could sneak in a few hours early morning. I know there used to be a big ole common in there called Herman but I don'tknow about anything else. I would be grateful if anyone could put me on the right trackCheers Colin.....p.s can anyone tell me why the spell check won't work for me?

Hi Mate

I spent a week at warmwell last year. The specimen lake can fish quite hard at times depending on how many lines are in the water. I fished the peg wih the wooden footbridge to my right (maybe peg 1). Its quite snaggy but worth the effort both in the margins and under the bridge by the far bank.

I used 1 x 6mm hairdrilled pellet tipped off with a single piece of corn. Fish small baits and singles on this venue. The chaps in the resident tackle shop are helpful and will generally put you on the fish.

I had aseveral low doubles and a mate of mine recently took a 17lb out. there are some big fish in there still!
