Hi folks,
I'm off carping for a few nights shortly and was wondering about
what food to take -for me not the fish!
Any ideas/favourites/suggestions ?
I am a bit fed up of the usual canned stuff.
thanks,
n.c.

Just make larger portions of spag bol, maccaroni cheese etc at home, freeze them and then reheat on the bank.
Simples.

As well as the normal pot noodles , try the instant porridge versions. Delicious but there again I have no class.

Check out the Diablo Toastie maker. Like a non-electric Breville Toasted Sandwich Maker and VERY popular with carpers. Lots of recipes online.

Try making this: http://www.fishingmagic.com/forums/bait-box/354104-meatloaf-recipe.html

at home as it re-heats very well on the bank.

If adventurous then try this:

http://www.fishingmagic.com/articles/reference/14433-bankside-cooking-fillet-of-beef.html

At the bottom of that last link you will find a few other bankside recipes.

I cannot eat pot-foods toi be honest and far prefer to either make something from scratch or re-heat meals previously cooked at home.

Each to our own though, as always.

. . . .. and here is a link to another simialr thread that has some pretty good recipes on it:

Hope it inspires . . . . . .
