I was on My local river Monday evening trying to catch my first barbel and was plagued by snigs taken my halibut pellets any tips or will using halibut bollies help with the situation?

Just use a bigger pellet that they can not get in there mouth. You will still get small pulls but wait for the 3 foot twitch.

Hello Jack, Ribble eels just don't give up when they start feeding. The good news is that they will stop feeding in the next week or three if previous years are anything to go by.
