Lucky or what?

I went fishing today ( thursday ) at a local lake.
When my friend and myself got there we found that our fav area was empty.
Getting out of the car and having a look I disided to fish the peg next to the one I would normaly choose. Why I did not pick my fav one I don't know, even my friend made a remark about it. 5 mins later I was very glad I did as while setting up a large transit van rolled down past the peg I was in and straight on to my fav peg. Had I choose it and been doing what I was on my choosen one I would of been hit by the van. All I can say is I was very lucky, it did shake me up thinking what would of happened if I was in the other swim.

I went on to have a great day catching carp avging 4lb and an estimate wieght of around 70lb.

Seriously though,glad to hear no one was hurt,wouldn't raking the swim have been a better alternative though?......LOL

Not wishing to get too X-Filey and weird this sort of thing has happened to me a few times in my life. Things like knowing you have to take a bend in the road at very slow speed - a lorry was totally hidden from view and had I been travelling at normal speed, within the limit I might add, I would definitely not be sitting here typing this out. Be thankful for it, you obviously have a guradian angel watching over you.

Don't ignore these gut feelings, ten years ago I woke up in a lot of pain my back & leg were aching, I was going to take the day off work but my lift was here at the usual time so I struggled on. The pain was there all day and on the way home we were in a crash in which I fractured my spine and damaged my leg. I wish I'd went with my initial thought when I woke that morning. :-}~
