River Cuckmere in Sussex

Has anyone got any useful info about the Cuckmere River at Alfriston in Sussex. What sort of fishing, expected size, species etc, I'm thinking of booking a cottage there in the summer. It looks a very nice place but I know nothing about the river at all.

sorry graham dont really know anything about it but im pretty sure its tidal!
try giving the lewes tackle shop a ring they will probably be able to tell you something!

Percy has lived and fished in the area all his life and will doubtless be able to help but he's more directly involved with Isfield Angling club. IIRC it is Southdown Angling Association http://www.southdown-angling.org/that have stretches of the Cuckmere. The link has contact details.
