Not me! But just got back from Throop and had the privilege of seeing a monster Chub of 7lb 15oz.

A seasons best and I'm told just 5oz off the Throop record. Chris Allport immediately took the scales away and verified the accuracy.

A really good looking fish that was just about fin and scale perfect.

For what it's worth (you have to now wait for 3 months to go chasing it!), it came from around the School Bridge area.

Me? I had 1 Chub (4lb) and 2 Dace. It was tough!

Tighter pegging than Gold Valley around there today!

I'm told a couple of good Barbel came out (14lb+?) but most really struggled today.

The river was belting through, very turbulent in most places but most of the colour had dropped out.
