Default Fishing in Kent

Can anyone recomend a decent day ticket water in Kent. The closer to Sittingbourne the better. It seems as with alot of the country its carp carp carp round here. Im looking for a nicely stocked mixed fishery that isnt going to cost the earth, parking would be nice if possible.

Usually I would fish the community lakes in Kemsley or the Stour in Canterbury but getting parked is a nightmare and same again for the Medway at Maidstone (not to mention the unpleasant surroundings)

All suggestions welcome.

This was a long time ago Freebird but, I used to fish a lake in Chillingham near Canterbury. I think it was called Griffen lake. It was day ticket then but, what it is now I would not know but, you could check it out. Good tench and carp as I remember rightly especially tench and parking. There was a day ticket in Faversham but, cannot remember where and then there is the Stour you mentioned. Downstream from Canterbury you had Grove ferry and Sandwhich used to be free with tidal fishing but, good bream and some Mullet. Sorry this information might be out of date now but , thought it might give a few clues....cheers

There's Bax farm fishery, just down the road from Sittingbourne.
Not ever fished there myself, but it seems quite well regarded.

Other than that there isn't a great deal of choice in the area as far as I know but, to be honest, I've been a club member now for several Years so haven't really sought out day ticket fishing for a while.
Oh, there is the Teston bridge fishery, £6.00 for a day but good mixed coarse fishing and convenient parking, nicely constructed swims too

Thanks for the replies guys!
Is that Sittingbourne angling club murv? Ive often considered signing up but the website is less then forthcoming with information. The very first fish I ever caught was a little perch over on one of the 3 lakes

No, I'm a KAPS member of some 15 Years but I've gone a bit "club mad" this Year as I've joined CDAA and will also be joining MVAS in a couple of weeks!

Not sure how you join Sittingbourne angling, the guy who runs it used to run a decent tackle shop in Headcorn but they shut down recently
