Hands up anyone who remembers Ultrabite?...going back a few years now but did anyone have better than usual results on it.Or will anyone admit to even using it.Was quite surprised to see it on the shelves of one my local tackle shops this weekend.Could have been old stock i guess as its not a shop i use that often.

I remember the publicity some years ago Andy, would have been lost forever in the grey matter if you hadn't revived it - never used it - don't know anyone that did.

Tea-tree oil, Olibas-oil, Vicks Vapo-Rub, TCP, Mentholyptus, after this maybe the chemists will start stocking conventional baits like maggots or boilies?

Anyone tried Marmite?

Or how about this for a blast from the past..Mystic Paste.Ok not an additive as such but i recall using this stuff in the mid 70s and it seemed to have an almost magnetic attraction to Roach. My local shop in my home town was quite radical as it use to import a lot of French tackle and baits in what was the very early days of the pole boom in this country.

Well, if they're struggling to survive it could be another fundraiser.

That and Bovril. Not bad, but I think it's the salt they go for.

I've got bottles of all sorts of juice in the garage. There's a bottle of tiger nut oil, never even opened after 4 years. It may well have gone off, but I might use it in a bream groundbait mixture this year. It will be in the river so if it has gone off it will just ruin my day and then be flushed out to sea.

I love the stuff!
Seriously, Marmite, is really good mixed with a little hot water (a table spoon in 1 pint) and then use as a pellet soak, they take on a wonderfull aroma (well, that's if you like the stuff!) Its just like using CSL!
