Most of the bigger rivers would be worth a try. What about the Severn? May not be too far for you?

It depends what you call big ..... plenty in the Severn up to 7 or 8 lb (see Dave Harrell's catch from Upton)

Similar in the Trent around Nottingham

As Always with River bream, location is the key. There are known hotspots, but fish also swim!!

Hello mate. How is the fishing at Llandegfedd? I've moved near to the area and I'm interested in having a go there at some stage. Do the bream reach a good size in there? What tactics are you using? Are there good perch and roach or anything else worth targeting? I know it used to be the number one big pike venue quite a few years ago.

In answer to your question, perhaps the Bristol Avon would be worth looking at?

@tesco value
The bream fishing can be amazing if you hit into a shoal. Ive caught over 200lb of bream out of there in a day, i prebait my swim the night before and just fish a simple open end feeder with maggot and the bream usually tange between 2lb and 6lb and there are massive roach snd perch in there and some really nice dace, but ive also gone out there some days and caught nothing but trout all day. If i knew how to use a fish finder and also had a fish finder i would like to boat around and find the shoals but if u ever want to go out with me just give me a shout always best to split the boat fee with someone
