Default frozen sweet corn

Cheap to buy from supermarkets and I guess ok for loose feed but does it stay on the hook ok or do you use tin sweet corn on the hook

Personally I'd never use frozen as a hook bait. Tins of JGG, or similar, are not expensive are usually better quality and stay on the hook well.

Agreed.JJG for me every time though I have occasionally been very lazy and bought flavoured corn....to no noticeable advantage I might add though I have done well on home dyed/flavoured . Frozen...never.

I nearly always use frozen corn on the hook, never had any prob's with it coming off wether legering or trotting with it in strong flows. Infact I had some nice chub whilst trotting frozen corn yesterday .

I can't see you having any problems. If I did buy tinned corn I certainly wouldn't be daft enough to buy it at inflated prices from fishing tackle shops, i'd just look for the cheapest in Asda or another super store.

JGG is and always will be the best - I reckon in the summer months, anglers buy a significant part of their production.

The original is best, and many super markets do shrunk wrapped packs of three for the price of two - or similar.

Don't ompromise, stick with the best!!

Tigger, how can you say that frozen corn is in the same league as JGG - shame on you

Tinned is softer and sweeter and the fish seem to prefer it. The frozen stuff is a good second best but won't catch those fish which are soft-bait-only fussy (Thinking Marsh Farm here)
