I buy things that are shiny - if the rod or reel is shiny I'm in - if it's a bit dull I'm out - add a flashy logo and you can double the price
We're all human, I like shiny, but I'm more normally drawn to function first.
At the end of the day, we are sat in a field next to some water that no-one else is likely to go or appreciate for the quality of fishing or tackle that we have. Well maybe a tackle tart or two
