Default Help on species

Hi can anyone tell me this species. I've been fishing now for around 6 weeks and fishing the Bristol docks on feeder road.

Looks like it's a Ruffe (Tommy Ruffe/Pope) to me.

Hi, I think your right i just checked on google and it did have a dorsal fin like a perch. Do they grow much bigger?

Anyhow thanks for clearing that one up for me.

Not much. 5oz 4dr is the current record.

Yea just saw that on the link you posted. Quite shocked I hook him on a size 18 for how big he was. Sitting under the bridge in the picture which is probably not the best place for a small fish
