Had the old fella round earlier today and he's just about to buy a new rod for chub fishing with the stick float. He's considering getting an acolyte carp waggler and can't decide between 11ft or 12ft - his preference due to two piece construction, and he reckons 12ft is best in shallow water.
I've always opted for a 13ft or 14ft model for any of my river fishing, but he's got me thinking. What is you preference for chub fishing with a stick float (wading where possible)?
