Not sure if this is in the right section. Mods feel free to move it
I've just acquired a second hand Daiwa xr5, which is in good condition apart from the common "worn thin" male end of the No4. I was thinking of glueing a sleeve inside to strengthen it, making sure the puller bungs will still fit. Otherwise a new section is around £90. Does this sound a good idea or not? If it will work, can anyone suggest where I could get hold of suitable sleeving material? Ideally a piece of carbon fibre tubing.
Thanks.
