River Arrow Alcester

Does anyone know if you can fish the Arrow in Alcester Town centre? I know there's day ticket bits downstream but I am going up that way with the missus in a few weeks and I'm looking for a town stretch where she can read/go shopping/toilets etc.

I was told a couple of years back that the town waters are free fishing but I don't know for certain Rob. I'm sure these people will:

Thanks Ian, I was going to pop in the tackle shop and bend their ear but will probably be up there on a sunday when it's closed.

Looking at maps there's likely looking bits in Redditch and Alcester that will be worth checking out. Anything to get a new river on the list

The Redditch stretches are nothing special Rob, the Fish Inn at Wixford sells day tickets and the food is reputedly good (it's generally busy which is a good sign). The fish are easily spooked and the river is very clear so it can be tough going, there is a good head of Chub and a few Barbel.

If the Redditch stretches are free and have got a few fish in that'll do me as I'm not after barbel or anything big.
