Can anyone settle a 'discussion' I was having with a neighbour.

He has two Normark Microlite Match rods, one with NMMT 1443 LENGTH 12' written on it and the other with RNMM144-3 LENGTH 12FT, both on the butt sections.

He was sure that the RNMM144-3 was the first made or MK1, as he called it, and the NMMT 1443 was the second version released, and both were from the 80s.

Looking at them both, I tend to think it's the other way around.

Can anyone settle this?

Just out of interest, which do folk think is the 'better' of the two - I know that's very subjective - my neighbour favours his NMMT 1443.

Thanks in advance.

I used to have one of the "original" Microlites, MK1, but I have no idea what identification was on the rod. I know it was a MK1 because I purchased it when they first appeared on the market. What I do know is that the MK1's are the more highly regarded/sought after and command very high prices.
