Question Nash 60" Oval Brolly

Thinking of investing in one of these. Do they have a central pole?? I know they lock with the screw cap thingy but how do you get them up in the first place?? Before someone tells me I can contact the supplier - I know I can. Just thought I'd ask on here first. Cheers.

They have a small 'spine'/central pole that locks the spokes up,just reach inside and fiddle about like you would with a standard brolly.
It's an acquired knack but doesn't take long to master.
I've got one made by Berkley and I think they're great.
Don't forget some long banksticks though! Or stormpoles as they're called.

Many thanks, Nobby. I thought that may be the case. I can see me losing plenty of the locking nuts, though!

Been lucky so far but it would be an idea to get a couple more stashed for emergencies, I wonder if they're sold.

I have the Daiwa Mission Brolly that comes with the poles and a groundsheet for about 50 rips. Same principle as the Fox. An over-rap is also available at about 50 rips. Great for one nighters.
I happened to have a centre pole, which it doesn't come with, off a 50 inch brolly that has the same thread as the Daiwa brolly. So I can use it in the traditional brolly manner if I want for day sessions.

Centre pole from different brolly makes come with many different threads BTW. I was just lucky I think that I had one with the same thread.

Paint them witha fluorescent paint for a start. Mine's also tied to the central pole with a length of trace wire, it won't get lost.

I use the nash oval brolly for a lot of my carp fishing, as it is so quick and easy to put up. I leave the storm poles attacthced when I put it away and think I can have it fully up and pegged down in under 2 mins!
