Ahhh, but Phill like i said before, ours are much, much better than yours now, yours is obsolete, for the mueseum, ours has a remote sounder box, Corkers even squeels when he gets a bite, not heard it yet though.

Is that all yours do? Must be **** then! My mark 1 million Z now tells me what species of fish has taken the hookbait, how big it is and whether I should just shake it off as it's not worth reeling in.
I'm now working on Mark 1 million and 1 AZ, which will have the above features, plus the ability to tell me well in advance what fish are in my swim. Ability to become their namesakes and kill ratfish if they come in my swim and/or anglers who try to copy them.
As i have mentioned earlier, i used to use a sidewinder a good few years ago, in conjunction with an old Shakespeare Firebird Ledger Rod (Rightly or Wrongly).
What type of Rod would you now recommend using, if i was to try it all over again.
Graham,
May i just take this opportunity to say, that the way you describe even the most complex discussions, and translate them in to something so simple and understandable, is truly uncanny.
As you are obviously on a roll in the "All things Fishy" Department, then perhaps one would be able to elaborate for myself strictly on a Advisory Level.
Would one recommend the use of say a Avon Type Ledger Rod of around 1.25lb Test Curve, or, or, or, here's the Cliff Hanger, would one use a Power Waggler Rod to use in conjunction with the SideWinder.
Avon rod, why would you want a quiver tip rod and fit another quiver tip to it? Think about it. Apart from its obvious bite indicating properties the fact that it can be fished pointing straight to the lead/feeder can be a massive advantage in tight swims
