I thought it was the juice left after soaking corn - maize - then possibly fermented thus becoming liquor? I'm probably way off the mark though.

About right Kevan.
They 'steep' the corn with warm water and sulphar dioxide and the liquid at the end is reduced to produce CSL.

Its used as an additive to cattle feed as well as a substrate in the fermentation industry especially for the production of antibiotics.
The pellets are very effective tench and barbel attracters

Who's do you use ? I've had a Nutrabaits one (Sorry Rik!!) which was brown and cloudy, and a Hinders one which is brown, smelly and clearer...... I prefer the Hinders one...
