Watched a guy catching roach/ dace / chub on waggler/ caster today. Nice to see the float in use. The river looks in good order as did the fish.

All the reports I have read from the WAA stretches say the barbel have been coming to hair rigged pellets!

I've had a couple of evenings after the barbel in the last 2 weeks and have done well with the usual pellets, paste and boilies. Strangely on both occassions most barbel came not at dusk, but much later, from about 11pm. I was on the river last night (fly fishing not barbel)and the level has dropped right off. Without rain it will be rather low and clear by Saturday
