For river Wye anglers and visitors.....Due to the fact that the Old Bridge river gauge has been vandalised the old Wye river report number is no longer working but there is a number available for the Wye levels up towards Hay on Wye, it is 01497 847990. It takes approximately four to five hours for those levels to reach Hereford.

Apparently there are no plans to renew the Old Bridge gauge because it would cost in excess of half a million pounds so to do added to which it is sited right where the Canoe lunatics want to build their launching site which they won't be allowed to do.

There is another number that gives information on various points along the Wye but as it is an 090 number I won't bother putting it on here.

I'm looking to buy the best, easiest to put up 1 man bivvy.

I've got a brolly and a cheap open front shelter but when fishing last weekend the wind and rain done a full 360 which meant i had to move my shelter 4 times, and if i didn't have the brolly too, I would have been soaked.

So I'm on the hunt for a full bivvy.

I've been looking at the TFGear All Rounder Bivvy and the chub snooper.

I would like to keep the cost under £100 but would go a bit more to get a good'n.

Cheers

Stuart

I was so impressed watching an old retired angler using a Sidewinder on our deep club waters,he was in a parrot cage swim feeder fishing in 20 odd feet of water where a swing tip would not be much use due to the angle of the line ,quiver tips are pulled downwards for the same reason.
He put together a good net of fish in a howling gale and the next day I ordered one ,have any of you guys used one..thanks

Wth the new rule, that you have to be a member of the AT, is fishomania pricing itself out of reach of the average angler? The price of joining the AT is £20, plus the new entrance dee per match of £23 (total of £43), then add your bait, travel etc.. is this causing many people to miss out on the chance of winning the prize of a lifetime?
