Welcome to the site Martin and your appointment to the AT. I do hope you can put some spine into the AT over the illegal trespass of canoes on non-navigational rivers, because it needs it. It's one of the principle reasons I dropped out 12 months ago, they were not prepared to do anything about it. I was quite prepared to get them all the evidence they required to take action against them on one Northern river.
That offer still stands btw. But do they have the balls to take it on?

Thanks Bad One, but everyone seems to have received this invitation except me. I think there's something a bit strange going on with this. I'm happy to engage with Martin as long as it's genuine.

All I suggested was that Sam might want to use a powerful catapult to ensure he fires his loose offerings well over the head of the canoeist that had kindly sat in-residence in the swim Sam was fishing. Whereas a much less powerful one would be much more prone to dropping short and the bait recommendation was made because it is easier to propel a larger heavier bait in a controlled manner.
Can you please tell me where I advocated or even hinted at using the catapult as a weapon.

You just have. This is pure and blantent fascism. http://www.fishingmagic.com/forums/i...cons/icon7.gif

Andy page 8, 4th post down.
You do have a personality disorder by the way, along the realms of a very basic grandiose, probably born out of being lonely and unwanted.
Very much an element of a failure to grasp any aspect of existentialism, hence your belief that YOUR world is the right one.
Anyway, can you go away now...oh, please arrange to meet Martin first. Remember, page 8 of this thread, 4th post down.

Re: Martin Salter takes on Angling Trust Appointment
On the main point of this sub thread, canoe access (originally about Martin Salter) Mr. Youngs seems to conveniently forget there is already an AT policy in place, 'negotiated local access agreements'.(agreed by the AT/EA) Sadly the BCU, CRACK whatever, seem not to accept it, they want nation wide unnegotiated access, AT NO COST!

Well Andy the only way to find out is to respond to Martins invite, which has been quoted above and is post number 74 on this very thread.
However just to reiterate, this quote (below) is the response from Martin to your tirade against him, as it seems you are having difficulty in accessing that particular post I thought I'd post it one more time. Please note the bit in bold!

No, I said to consider the “possible” cause may be … Again you infer incorrectly. Oh, and you forgot ‘twot’, courtesy of Ron, I don’t think it falls into the groups you mentioned.

There is NO compromise to be had, it is not in the gift of anglers. If the river is NON-navigable it means just that. A case of simple English.

It was a public one on this forum! What were you expecting, an illuminated invitation sent personally to your address together with a Christmas card? The balls are in your court, in you have any, as Martin suggested.

That was Mr Hitler’s problem too, but then he WAS a fascist.
A closing note perhaps (I'm giving up this thread now). Andy, you've given a lot of members a lot of fun on here taking the mickey out of you, but I hope that your turmoiled head clears in time for the season's festivities and that you can enjoy delving into your stocking on Christmas day only to find that your canoeing permit for the Wensum has once again been revoked.

Re: Martin Salter takes on Angling Trust Appointment
Time to call a halt to this guys. I will try to get the government to re affirm the existing policy of retaining non navigation for canoes except by the type of consensually agreed voluntary access agreements that the BCU are busy rejecting in favour of their militant 'right to paddle' nonsense.
Andy, there are a number of fishing conferences coming up so lots of opportunities for you to appear on stage with me for that debate. Providing that is that Santa brings you a pair of balls for Xmas !

Not trying to prolong this, and every sane person would agree - but
