Fairly local to me too. Never ventured there until last month when I had the chance to meet Graham Marsden Mark Whittle, Mark Everard and John Wilson.

Nice pub and pretty close to the river Loddon. Well worth a visit for a pint & some grub.

Guess he'll be buying the drinks on Saturday then . . . . . . ?

In which case . . . I might just pop along myself . . . . . .

Yes, went down with a couple of friends and bumped into many other acquaintances from years gone by - it was certainly very crowded. The pub has been transformed into an angling theme pub and very different from my quiet local pub of the 70's. Always was in an unspoiled setting with the river running past the rear, no houses in sight, and the 'I wonder if I should chance it' ford crossing in the lane (although they do have a depth marker now) . The fishing used to be first class then, especially for roach.
