Just net the Teme seal as they did on a West Wales salmon and sea-trout river about a decade ago, then return it to the sea or put it in the Gweek Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall. Sorted.
PS - Tip: Give the coracle netsmen on the lower Towy a call. Carmarthen area.
it fills me with glee to see how the Trust are altering their response in the light of the previous PR disaster
Anglers are particularly concerned that the Teme is a SSSI and the seal could do long term damage to the balance of nature in an area acknowledged by Natural England to ‘support plants and animals that find it more difficult to survive in the wider countryside'
you can imagine some strokey beard PR guy meeting the trust "now for the umpteenth time repeat after me we cannot just shoot it ! " I'm telling you plants are the way to go with this one.
