I was thinking of fishing the upper river this weekend.
Has anyone information about river levels upstream of Blandford? I know there was a lot of rain early in the week where I live and a few showers since then and I've not had much luck with the river too high.

Peter,

The level is 0.7 metres above normal winter level at Wimborne; that translates into 1 - 1.4 metres above normal at Shillingstone. It was a big flood this week!

I drove over the stour at Wimborne this evening and up toward Blandford and the river was hard and fast and over the banks still.

The Avon at Salisbury was retreating from the fields a bit better.

hope you find a fishable bit.
