Default Lucky Martin!

long-casting a salmon lure a few days back, I knocked a sand martin into the drink. When I started the retrieve, down went the sand martin! After half a dozen turns of the reel it popped up to the surface and flapped about. Eventually, it found the strength to escape the surly bonds of water and flew off to be with its mates.

I've once seen similar when I was watching someone fly fishing. A swallow decided it liked the look of one of his flies as he was casting. It was squarely hooked in the beak but was released relatively unscathed.
