Tasmanian Wild Trout - Woods Lake

Thought I would share a video of fishing one of our Highland Lakes in Tasmania. This lake holds heaps of naturally spawned two pounders with the odd five to six pounder caught as well. Hope you enjoy.

Very nice! Is it your standard practice to return all trout/fish?

Was it cold as you were dressed for cool weather? I guess as Tasmania is well south and it is your w inter that it probably is!

I return most of my fish. I do keep one or two now and then for a feed. It was below zero in the morning, that clip was shot in late Autumn. It is Winter now and receives regular snow falls. Our Trout season runs August - April, with only a select few lakes open all year.
