Anyone know what the stretch of the Colne next to the TopGolf Golf Range (near the A41) is like? and whether anyone owns it? I've often seen the odd person fishing there when I have been using the golf range.

They scrap like hell on light gear though!

Ialways seem to lose them when they get snagged in a shoal of fish/forum/smilies/crying_smiley.gif

i fished uxbridge rovers a40 stretch of the colne with my mate and caught my first barbel,8lb 12oz. i'm chuffed to bits with that!!

caught it on boilies wrapped with paste,my mate had a 9lb 5oz a couple of swims upstream from me.

typical that there's only 2 weeks left of the river season,because i'm now hooked big time!!

we only fished a short evening session,so quite a successful couple of hours.

anyone else had much luck from this stretch?
