That's a very rare slip up by England not to have figured in either the team or individual honours but very tricky conditions by the sound of things and a big game changer with the deteriorating conditions over the event.

Better luck next year lads, can you send some of that rain over 'ere? :thumbs:

It's been an absolute deluge this year in Eastern Europe - the only extended piece of dry weather we had in Bulgaria were the last 3 in August. There have been many fatalities in the Balkans...including after flash floods in the major seaside tourist resorts at Burgas and Varna. Which put the amount of cutting and pruning I've had to do...and will need to do later this year....very much in to perspective.

Tough result for England.....but that's the way it sometimes goes

Match fishing is not just about the skills of the angling team. There are many variables including venue, weather and conditions. The top teams such as England don't just feature in the top levels on one match in five or six. They are there most of the time and on the odd occasion they miss out. It isn't the end of the world and I wish them well for next year.

and give them a drubbing next year.
