painted ladies and thrush?

Last Saturday morning I went to load the tackle in the car,and noticed some exquisite butterflies on a flowering tree .After watching bbc I know they were painted ladies thatmigrated over from N.Africa.Since then I havent seen another one ,Have any of you seen any?

I've heard a song thrush singing in my garden since march,every day,dawn to dusk.

If it is singing does it mean that is trying to get laid ,or is proclaiming it's territory,having been laid?

I live in East Sussex and the past few weeks I've seen lots of painted ladies in my garden. The thrush will be a male defending his territory, or looking for a mate
