Still, if you say there ain't then yeah fluro is OK...
They have never been stocked. The predominant species is carp. There are not hoards of small perch but some have been caught just below 4lbs. I've not had a chance to have a go at them yet this season, when I do I am hoping for a 4lb'er. There are also some eels, I had one of 3.5 lbs but I am sure there are larger ones in there. When the club first took the water over there were rumours of a Catfish, but I think it may have been a large eel. The eels and perch aren't really targeted so it is still a bit of an unknown quantity.

Sounds like the water i am fishing everybody fishes for Tench early season and carp and bream later on but as stated Perch Eels and Pike are in the mix and nobody fishes for them. if you fish at night i hope you would switch to quicksilver or wire though as eels that size will slice through fluro like knife through butter. The catfish speaks for itself...Sounds like my sort of water

Have you tried roll overs ?

No. I've had the perch on free roving lives and eels on lob worms.

Thank's, I'm really looking forwards to it. I have just joined another club and it has cats in to 74lbs and what looks to be some very under fished stretches of river. Arrrrgh, so many opportunities, so little time.

Chris Campbell is an unknown quantity at this point

Think I am going to have to stick with a free rover as where I fish pike are always present and a heavy up trace is too blatant for perch and a light up trace would damage a pike if I hooked one and it rolled on it unless anyone else has ideas of what to do when float paternostering for perch with an uptrace when pikes present.
