....shotting on a long pole?
Poke it into overhanging bushes where you can't cast on rod and line?

Could be devastating.....

Judging by the lack of replies I don't think anyone has tried it. What a good idea though. I will have a go at it sometime this winter.

I have dead baited for perch with the pole getting right into the overhangs. Worked really well, very exciting when you lift the dead bait and can see the perch following it.

I would if I used a pole but I don't so wont.
Strictly in the margin right at my feet with a 6ft spinner... if I don't catch there then I'll take off the drop shot and spin with it - cant do that easily with a pole ;)
