McLean Salmon Weigh Net
Pear shaped extra sturdy fixed frame net with bronze anodised finish. Rubber grip handle and in-built weighing scales to 50lb. Telescopic handle extends 12" to 44". Overall length extends from 45" to 77". Maximum net opening 33". Carried with built-in adjustable sling. Knotless mesh.

Handles a bit short innit?

Thanks but I've owned one for about 6 years. It is probably the best big fish lure net on the UK market imho but anyone who's owned one will know that the original knotless mesh isn't that good.

Trebles catch in it and the large holes split fins.

Finally, a replacement rubber mesh with smaller holes has just become available over here so anyone using one would most likely want to know.

Thanks for the info.

I use the Sea Trout/Specimen version (only for salmon so far). I looked at the Salmon version but it just seemed too big and I felt it would get in the way -- plus the ghillie told me that the Sea Trout version was big enough and one doesn't want to annoy the ghillie!

But each to their own.
