Straight from the Mr Crabtree book?
A very traditional 2.14 weirpool stripey caught with a Perch bob float that belonged to my Grandad and then my dad and a big lobworm :)
River Derwent, caught today

This couldn’t be more similar in circumstances to old school’s lovely fish, another river perch taken just after dawn this morning on a trotted lobworm under my homemade 4AAA perch bobber and as much as I would like it to have been an ounce heavier would you believe it came in at exactly the same weight too?

2lb 14ozs…

That is a great fish, Neil and congratulation on beating the 3lb barrier! Absolutely staggering colouration, and for that reason alone it deserves to win the competition...

Everything comes to he who waits, eh ??

Had two perch today slightly up on my previous entry. 1@ 2lb10oz and 2 @2lb 12oz.
Very pleased as I was experimenting with a 2" lump of lamprey.
