No matter the claimed size of the fish IT is a cracking looking fish, shame he's pulling its jaw down ala good ole US of A style. Why o why do anglers follow this recent fashion.

Is 49:5cm the length of his obviously outstretched arms?

Lets hope so...I dread to think what else he might be measuring !

I really dont understand where this "affection" of measuring certain species came from. The "Wayld Brane Trite" brigade persist in disguising the meagre size of their quarry by measuring...and its crept into grayling fishing too. I caught Big Phil measuring a grayling last weekend and had to pour scorn upon him until he put his tape away, the big tart !

Do you rig the 'Joker' back to front???? I thought the tail would work best pulsating from behind (or have I misread that photograph?)... Looks a good lure though...

I think you could say the same about weighing.

How many obese carp are clearly fatter than they are long? I'd rather a long lean wild fish than a heavy bloated 'all you can eat' commercial fish.
