Default Shimano v Daiwa

Just about lost patience with my shimano 5000's, line lay is terrible.
Thinking about Daiwa WDZ5000 but my local Daiwa stockists tells me there are some new Daiwa baitrunners due out around Christmas but maybe he is putting me of as he has no stock of WDZ5000.
I now they are expensive (best seems to be £149.99) but does anyone know if there is a new range coming out or what the WDZ5000 is like or of course any other recommendations.

If its for Barbel, or carp and i have a pair you wont go wrong at at all with these. A bargain at £109.99. The drag and baitrunner 2 system is brilliant.

SHIMANO Ultegra 5500XTB Camo Ree
or these
Shimano Ultegra XTB Reels

I have never had any problem with my Shimanos.
Check the bail arms incase of damage. May have got squashed.
Did have a Shakespear that I ended up cuting some of the inside out of the spool as it sat too high on the reel.

Surely there is no reason for poor line lay on a 5000- engineers please post. I used GTE-Bs and there was never a problem. If it's Barbel - who needs baitrunner - the fightin drag on a Stradic 4000 will do that job, they are awesome, the line lay in particular.
